The installation of cameras in operating rooms and intensive care units is mandatory

According to the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, operating rooms and intensive care units must be equipped with cameras capable of audio and video recording, as part of licensing requirements and conditions.

This requirement is aimed at ensuring patient safety, strengthening control over medical processes, and enabling objective assessment of potential disputes.

In accordance with established regulations, audio and video recordings must be stored for at least one year.

At the same time, the confidentiality of the information contained in the recordings must be ensured, including the protection of medical confidentiality and patients’ personal data (except in cases предусмотренных законодательством).
