In 2025, the Republic of Uzbekistan continued to demonstrate steady growth in the private healthcare sector. In particular, 1,329 medical clinics obtained licenses and began operations during the year.
An analysis by region shows that the largest number of new clinics were established in densely populated and economically active areas. Specifically, 251 clinics started operating in the city of Tashkent, 169 in the Fergana Region, 129 in the Samarkand Region, 121 in the Andijan Region, and 117 in the Kashkadarya Region.
In addition, 95 clinics began operations in the Tashkent Region, 91 in the Bukhara Region, 74 in the Namangan Region, 71 in the Khorezm Region, 62 in the Surkhandarya Region, 54 in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and 50 in the Navoi Region.
In a number of regions, including the Jizzakh Region (30 clinics) and the Syrdarya Region (15 clinics), new private medical institutions also commenced operations. This indicates that there remains significant potential for further development of private healthcare, attraction of investment, and expansion of medical service coverage in these regions.
❗️ These indicators reflect the outcomes of reforms being implemented in the country aimed at supporting the private sector in healthcare, improving the quality and accessibility of medical services, and fostering a competitive environment within the healthcare system.
For reference: As of today, more than 9,000 private medical institutions are operating in Uzbekistan.
